My name is Emily Luella, and I am a fine artist based in Sheffield, UK.
I began drawing at a very early age and became captivated by drawing or painting faces and capturing the small details that define our character. Portraiture was the first form of artwork that I connected with and is still a strong theme across my work.
After studying art at school and college, I continue teaching myself to paint/draw every day. I am still at a very experimental stage in my career, and my work spans multiple themes.
I use traditional painting techniques and use mainly oil or watercolour paints. However, I often experiment with other media.
I am inspired by everything that I find beautiful, whether that be a colourful sky, a delicate flower or simply a vibrant colour. Living in the heart of England and being surrounded by the countryside of the Peak District, I am often inspired by nature and natural aspects can be seen in my work with flowers, trees, butterflies and birds.
