Laco Teams Up With Lara Gear For Hot New Dance Single, Viral
Laco is fast becoming one of SA’s best dance music producers and has already seen what the top of the dance chart looks like with CNSRD’s track ‘Bunny Park’. He releases his brand new single ‘Viral’ today and teams up with Lara Gear, well-known to SA audiences after her appearance on the first season of THE VOICE.

How did Laco come about working with Gear? “About a year ago I wrote this belting pop hook over a ballad style beat with a big instrumental drop, and I knew I needed a female singer who could pull off both Lorde and Foxes’ type vocals. I briefly mentioned the track to one of my mates and he told me about Lara, and he also said that the best thing about her was that she’s also a writer. I scoped out her ‘The Voice’ performance and the rest is history.”
The collaboration was a match made in musical heaven.
‘Viral’ lyrically embodies the human need to constantly search for more than what we have, and how that can potentially force a person into mindless habits and routines that then become the virus that takes over their world. The single is a powerful release and Gear couldn’t be happier with the way the single has turned out.
“Working with Laco was incredible! It was great to work with such a humble and unique creative force. I cannot wait to see how he takes the music industry by storm!”
