My name is Olivia Bayly, and I am 22 years old, and I’m a photographer. My love for photography began when my parents bought me my first digital camera at the age of 13 for Christmas and ever since then I haven’t put a camera down, and I don’t think that I ever will.
As cliché as it sounds, I’ve always had a yearning to capture my memories throughout life and genuinely believe it is so important to do this whether you’re a photographer or not.
Whenever I am on a day out, and it feels as though this particular adventure might not happen again, I get an anxiety and feel the need to take a photo of anything just so that I can remember that day.
Not only is that important, but photographs help you to see change, whether it be a person, a location, a feeling or a moment. Every day is significant, and I would take a photo of every moment of my life if I could.
I began thinking seriously about my career as a photographer when I started studying it at the University. It became apparent to me that this was what I wanted to do as I gradually progressed.
I love all aspects of photography but I specify mainly in portraiture/fashion, and I also do the odd conceptual photography. I enjoy creating the things that I wish existed.
